The Disc Publisher PRO Xi-Series is the evolution of the Disc Publisher PRO, the world’s best-selling duplication system with two burning drives and a production capacity of 100 discs per job.
By advancing technology and design, the models in the new range are not only more efficient and faster, but also more reliable than their predecessors. The Xi-Series is the ideal solution for automated production of professional-quality burned and printed optical media.
Three DP-Pro Xi models with a capacity of 100 discs each are available:
Upon customer request, the Disc Publisher Xi and Xi2 are optionally available with the latest generation of Blu-ray Disc™ burning drives. Blu-ray Discs allow the recording of high-definition video with up to 25 GB for single-layer media or 50 GB for dual-layer media. Of course, these capacities can also be used to back up documents, photos and other files.
Speed matters
The focus of the new Disc Publisher Pro Xi series was to significantly increase the throughput volume. Therefore, at the beginning of the development phase, all components of the Disc Publishers such as robotics, gripping mechanism and software were tested for efficiency and production performance and examined in detail for potential improvements.
Probably the most drastic change was made in the field of robotics, especially in the process of media transport. The drive spindle previously used for operating the gripper arm was replaced by a precise belt drive with a processor-controlled stepper motor. Belt drives significantly increase the throughput speed – by over 300% in the case of the Xi series.
Precise handling of the discs
Transport errors or the simultaneous gripping of two discs lead to unwanted production interruptions and can even damage the recording drives. AccuDisc™, Primera’s gripping technology, eliminates these feed errors and is the world leader in the industry by combining patented mechanics and innovative software. The speed of the seventh generation AccuDisc has also been increased by 200%.
Various media formats via adapter
The Disc Publisher Xi can go even further! – In addition to the usual CD and DVD of 120mm in diameter, an optional Business Card Adapter Kit is available, which allows the use of the small 80mm Mini-CDs as well as so-called Business Card CDs with straight and rounded corners.
